Yuko Inoue Bio

Yuko Inoue has been playing the Marimba and the Piano since her early childhood.

 

She won several solo competitions in Japan.  She is a winner of Marimba special mention in IBLA International Music Competition.

 

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marimba/ Percussion performance from the Toho Gakuen College of Music in Tokyo, Japan under Prof. Keiko Abe, who is a world-renowned Marimba master.

After graduating from Toho, she continued to study Marimba/ Percussion Performance at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music with Prof. Racz Zoltan in Budapest, Hungary.

She plays classical to contemporary music, not only for solo Marimba or with an orchestra but also collaborates with different instruments such as sax, clarinet, violin, percussion, and piano.

Concert appearances: The Yomiuri Chubu New Figures' Concert in Nagoya, with Amadinda Percussion Group in Budapest. And also at The 108th New Figures' Concert in Nagoya with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, IBLA Grand Prize Winners' Concert in Virginia, and the Hungarian Festival in Aichi pref. Japan. Hope for Sendai charity concert in Los Angeles. Many outreach music projects for children and adults.

Premiere Performances Sejtek by Szalai Katalin (Hungary), Drops by Kenji Oh (Japan).

 

Professional Media appearances on National Television such as NHK Japan, ZIP-FM in Japan.

Other recordings with Ae-roung Jang, in Seoul, South Korea.

 

Yuko Inoue lives in Los Angeles, California, in addition to playing concerts, she also arranges, composes music for the Marimba, and does professional consultation.
